My daughter passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2010. The police told us she passed away in her sleep sometime after midnight. We had just seen her looking healthy and happy. I will never forget that image that day when her dad and I got in the car, and she came outside to wave to us and say, "Bye Mom, Bye Dad", I love you.” That was the last time I would see her alive.

The following two weeks were like a blur to me, I missed my daughter so much, that each step I took, my leg felt like a heavy log. My daughter had made an appointment for me to have a physical on April 7th. I did not want to go. I did not see a reason why. I wanted to be with my daughter whom I missed with all my heart.

But, I half- heartedly went to my physical. I remembered all the times she went with me to the doctor and patiently waited. I asked GOD for strength to get me through this doctor appointment without crying.

As I stepped into the changing room, a song was playing...and when I actually stopped to listen to it, I realized it was my daughter, Teresa's favorite singer, Barry Manilow. The song was, "This One's For You." Tears ran down my cheeks and I started to cry.

With all of my heart, I believe that she was with me and God was giving me a sign letting me know that she is in good hands.
