After having been a full time stay-at-home mom of 2 daughters for 17 years and a part-time preschool teacher for 8 of those years, I accepted a full time job as a Customer Service Representative for a large insurance company in my area. While I knew I needed a full time job to help pay for upcoming college tuition fees, my heart was very heavy leaving a place I'd come to know and love and leaving the women who had become very dear friends. I was so nervous about whether I could transition back into corporate America and whether my family would adjust. My last day was Friday, February 5th. Earlier in the week, one of my friends told me about your book, "When God Winks". I was so intrigued by what she told me that I ordered the book and finished it by Sunday morning.

I started my new job first thing Monday morning and had I not read your book, would probably not have recognized all the winking God was directing my way. While meeting with the HR Rep, we realized we had a mutual friend in the husband of the woman who recommended your book - Wink!

I was taken up to Customer Service and was assigned a supervisor, who had started her career with the company for the very same reasons I had - Wink! The other supervisor of the department also has a 17 yr. old getting ready to head off to college - Wink! They knew exactly what I was going through. I was assigned to sit with a gentleman who is mentoring me as I go through the extensive training the company offers. His training is in music - my degree from college is in Music - Voice Performance - Wink! At lunch time, my boss asked another young woman, who will be training with me to get me to the cafeteria and "show me the ropes". As we're walking and chatting, we realize we live in the same town, then the same subdivision two blocks away from each other - Wink! Her mother also works at the company, and although we didn't really know each other, knew enough to wave as we passed by each other. We were floored to realize that we all were going to be working for the same company - Wink!

When I came home after my first day back to work, I realized how grateful I was to have recognized all of the God Winks that came my way that day. I am convinced that God was indeed letting me know that this is the right direction for me to be heading!
