A God Wink Story from:
Katherine
San Antonia, Texas
Dear Squire and Louise,
I enjoyed seeing and meeting both of you last weekend in San Antonio. You were both wonderful!
I want to share a true GOD wink story with you.
This is the earliest memory that I have.
I was 3 years old and I nearly drowned in a neighborhood swimming pool. I remember being scared.
I was not able to reach the sides or bottom of the pool. A pool that was shaped round. I always thought that Santa Clause had saved me. And that part never made sense.
When I was 16 I read that GOD had a perfect mate for everyone andthat by the time you were 17 you had probably meet that person. That night I prayed, I asked GOD to show me a sign. How will I know him?
That night I dreamed eyes, beautiful green eyes. I didn't know anyone with those eyes, but I was never able to forget them.
When I was 33, a friend asked me to stop by his house and notarize some documents for a friend of his. When I met his friend I almost fainted. I knew those eyes. But I played it cool when it came time for me to collect my notary fee I told him I wanted a diet soda as payment (That way he would have to see me again!!!!) It worked! He came by my house the next day to give me my soda. His name was Eddie.
Later, he asked me to go for a drive, to talk, to get to know each other. He drove past a park that he had played in as a child. A park that had a round swimming pool. He said that he had spent many a day in that pool just him and his "Santa Floatie" Your what? I asked. He told me how he had taken his mothers inflatable Christmas lawn ornament….. a Santa Claus and used it as a flotation device. I was stunned I asked if he had ever saved a little girl from being drowned? He said he had, he remembered how scared she was, and that she had big brown eyes he said that he had always wondered what happened to her.
Thank you for reminding me how blessed I was when GOD winked at Eddie and me.
Sincerely,
Katherine
